Mr Baneke offers private appointments on Tuesday mornings. This clinic is available to self-pay patients only (not insured patients).

During your first visit, Mr Baneke will carry out a thorough examination of your eyes, discuss your symptoms and explain your treatment options. Most new consultations last around 30 minutes.

You can drive to most routine follow-up appointments. However, some appointments (including your initial consultation, your first post-operative consultation, and any consultation where your symptoms have changed) may involve dilating eye drops, which blur your vision for around 3 hours. You should not drive during this time.

Mr Baneke is a consultant ophthalmologist specialising in cataract surgery and glaucoma. He trained at Moorfields Eye Hospital and sees patients from across Essex and East London, including Hornchurch, Upminster, Romford, Harold Wood, Rainham, Thurrock and Grays.
